New outlook on beef and dairy

Allright, here we go. This is my first post, so bear with me.

I've always heard the supposed benefits of cows in our society but lately have wondered why? It comes to find out that no other animal in the world eats or drinks another animal's dairy. This may have a part in so many people being lactose intolerant. We aren't meant to drink milk other than our mothers'. Aside from the nature side of this discussion, I have found some very interesting articles on what farmers do to cows to get the most milk possible. The living conditions are just horrendous. Here is what I was looking at.
